Our team keeps growing

Maybe it's the economy, maybe we are just  awesome, maybe it's a little bit of both, but we've been seeing some impressive growth over here at JKR.  Projects keep coming in, large and small, and we're doing our very best to keep up with our clients' demands. We're proud to announce the addition of Michael Buckley to our already talented design staff.  He's helping alleviate some of the day to day pressures on our other established designers.  Mike hails from UPenn where he's earned his Masters, and also brings some good experience from some top local firms.  Right now he is working on some of our residential projects.  We're happy to welcome him to our team! 

New Hires

Connor, Alli, Meg, Greg, Dan

We've been busy working and been busy expanding our team!  In the last month or two we've added 5 new employees to keep up with our crazy schedules.  The new additions ain't no slouches either. Top quality people doing top quality things from top quality universities!  We've got Connor Pritz... halfway to a Pritzker Prize already. We've plucked Alli Rametta from a boutique firm in NYC. We've snatched up Meg Brennan from UPenn. We've got Greg Curran from Penn State, and last but certainly not least we've snagged Dan Flesher all the way from Idaho.  A good diverse mix of people to bring some fresh perspectives on our work.  We are excited about all of them!

We've got a new Sheriff in Town

In our long quest to replace our graphic designer, we've finally landed a great young lady to fill the role previously held by the esteemed Natalya Maltseva.  We're happy to welcome Erin Johnson to our team of talented architects and designers.  She hails from, well, all over really.  She's a graduate of SCAD but she's lived all over the world. 
A little bit about her:

Born in North Carolina. Lived in Syracuse NY, Orange County CA, Reno NV, Miami FL, Peacham VT, Brooklyn NY, Hong Kong China, Savannah GA, and now Philly (Fishtown). Loves hockey (penguins) and baseball (Phillies). Slightly obsessed with cats and glitter. Fridays she can usually be found either A) doing karaoke or B) thinking about where she can do karaoke. Social media and Netflix addict (millennial..) admits that she owns an embarrassing amount of books about graphic design.
And the best part? She's already fixed the flash out of our website!

JKR Partners Announces New Intern Architect

JKR Partners welcomes Jennifer Whary to the design team. Since her 2007 graduation from Penn State University, Jen has been working in the Philadelphia area on large-scale hospitality, healthcare and aviation projects. When she is not working, playing or watching sports, Jen often bakes lots of delicious delights like cookies and cupcakes. The entire JKR Team will certainly volunteer as taste testers for her latest sweet treats. Our firm’s newest intern architect looks forward to launching her JKR Partners’ career. Another Owl Lands at JKR Partners

JKR Partners welcomes designer Mike Farinella, another Temple University Owl to our team. Some people wonder who is counting? Those five other JKR Partners’ Temple Alumni are smiling about our additional Owl. The Tyler School of Art graduate joined JKR Partners in Spring of 2012. Mike celebrated the completion of his first week by wearing a party cone hat, eating Carvel Ice Cream Cake and listening to some off key “Happy Birthday” singing courtesy of the JKR Team. As Mike embarks on his JKR Career, he is also enthused about the playoff successes of his favorite sports team. Although Philadelphia hasn’t won a Stanley Cup since before Mike’s crayoning diaper days, he faithfully follows the Flyers’ puck adventures. Best of luck to Mike and the guys in orange and black!

Better Late than Never

Something happened and we fell asleep at the computer or something.  How we failed to mention that we nabbed one of Temple U's best and brightest architecture students is utterly embarrassing.  So we are going to shout it out right here; WE'VE GOT AN AWESOME NEW HIRE! I guess it's been a couple weeks now, but Nichole Howell already seems like a seasoned JKR veteran.  She fits in with all the other cool kids here like a glove and has been cranking out some quality work already. So there, we finally said it.... We welcome Nichole to this crazy bunch we call JKR Partners.
