Charlie.

Tiff here.
Some men bring home flowers...
Others may even bring home dinner - that is fully cooked.

On Saturday, my husband Demetrius brought home a chicken that he found in Northeast Philly - while helping a friend move...

I think that maybe someone may have given a few chicks to their kids for Easter and this one got away... We are still trying to figure out what to do with her - but in the meantime he named her Charlie.

With spring, comes a new deck, new furniture, new flowers

After many years of walking out on the "dock," the tired deck boards could last no longer. If it lasted one more day, there could have been a slapstick comedy filmed up there with one of us stepping on a board, only to have it flip up and hit us in the face. The deck's days were numbered. The landlord graciously replaced the deck with a brand spankin new one, and then good things followed. An employee, (to remain nameless), pumped up the beauty factor with some fresh new flowers, and G-dubs and Michael Jack finally retired that pile of plastic and dirt we called patio furniture with some bangin' new deck furniture. Cuatro de Mayo watch out, we're having a deck party!

Another Owl Lands at JKR Partners

JKR Partners welcomes designer Mike Farinella, another Temple University Owl to our team. Some people wonder who is counting? Those five other JKR Partners’ Temple Alumni are smiling about our additional Owl. The Tyler School of Art graduate joined JKR Partners in Spring of 2012. Mike celebrated the completion of his first week by wearing a party cone hat, eating Carvel Ice Cream Cake and listening to some off key “Happy Birthday” singing courtesy of the JKR Team. As Mike embarks on his JKR Career, he is also enthused about the playoff successes of his favorite sports team. Although Philadelphia hasn’t won a Stanley Cup since before Mike’s crayoning diaper days, he faithfully follows the Flyers’ puck adventures. Best of luck to Mike and the guys in orange and black!

It’s so hard to say goodbye…

On Friday, Jerry decided to take matters into his own hands and say goodbye to one of our office plants.  He put up a good fight, but succumbed to the toxic spray treatment on the deck.  Surprisingly, none of us fell ill that smelly day.
